Single varietal dry white wine made from Grüner Veltliner grapes from the oldest vineyard of the winery (circa 80 years), which grows at a higher altitude over the tuff bedrock.
After harvesting, the grapes were de-stemmed, crushed and left on skins for a couple of days in a cold cellar. Before the fermentation kicked in, the grapes were pressed and the juice was transferred into old oak barrels, where the wine fermented and matured for 8 months on fine lees. A minimal dose of sulphur was added before bottling.
Dry white wine with a bright yellow colour, with yellow flowers on the nose, a complex mineral body with hints of green notes and a rounding acidity.
A great wine to accompany salads or lighter meats (turkey mince) or fish (Sea Bass).
