A dry, red wine made from Alibernet grapes (a local crossbreed of Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon). The grapes were harvested from a 13-year-old vineyard with tuff bedrock at an altitude of around 250 m.a.s.l.
Spontaneously fermented in an open vat and macerated on skins for circa 3 weeks, then schooled for 48 months in an old oak barrel. The wine was then transferred to a stainless steel vat for slow ageing and bottled in 2022 (by gravitation only).
Wine of ink dark colour, peppery notes on the nose with sour cherry and dark berry notes in the taste. Tannins are integrated and mellow.
Technical: Alcohol: 12% vol.
